I made this costume in university... when I had waaaaaay too much time on my hands!
The tiny flowers are held on with a penny pushed through a button-hole in the flower.

Autumn Woods: Tuesday Trigger

I really love this Tuesday's Trigger from Moxie Fab World.

Wall Sculpture Autumn Woods on Etsy

My inspiration came from both the colour scheme and the graphic square pattern which I have echoed in the subtle plaid background papers. All my papers, stamps, and inks are from Close To My Heart. The wood grain makes me think of trees of course! So I have a little birdie sitting in a tree.

You can enter your own paper craft creation if you feel so inspired by this Tuesday's Trigger on the Moxie Fab World Blog.

F is For Friend

Textured to Perfection Challenge in the Moxie Fab WorldHere is a little challenge from the Moxie Fab blog to add texture in a unique way. I used textured paper, wood accents, buttons, crocheted flowers. And the result is pretty moxie FAB if I do say so myself!

The pic below is from the
Moxie Fab Blog and was my inspiration to my project above.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

A Fiskars punch (used to make the yellow brick road) inspired this card. I used various CTMH stamps sets to embellish it. The fabulous ruby red slipper came from the "Find Your Style" stamp set. I also used "Around the Block", "True Friends" and "Doodle Alphabet". Ink Colours: Sky, Holiday Red, and Sunflower.

Rainy Day Thursday

I seem to get a lot done on rainy days. Yesterday morning was one such day. The boys were going nuts so we decided to make a craft. We made these adorable doggies out of folded construction paper. In this electronic age, where info is just a few finger clicks away. Sometimes, looking something up the old fashioned way ... IN A BOOK ... makes for a much richer experience. I also did payroll for our workers and cooked a turkey. Like I said, I seem to get a lot done on rainy days.

Scrap for a Cause

Many of you have asked us if there is something we could do to support those affected by recent severe weather in the US, and we’ve also had requests to extend the availability of the You & Me scrapbooking kit offered during the month of May. We’ve combined those two aims into a single campaign called You & Me: Stronger Together, to raise funds for the survivors of the severe storms that have pummeled the Midwest and Southern states.

During the month of June, order a You & Me kit for only $16.50 CAN (a retail value of $38.95), and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross 2011 Floods and Tornadoes relief operations.

Trees And Things

Here is the latest creative technique video from Close To My Heart.

I have always had a "thing" for trees. This stamp set makes me smile!

Father's Day

This Card has a chalk-resist technique. You stamp an image with VersaMark ink and then lightly brush artist chalk over the image to achieve a softer stamped image. The giant asterix is made with a Fiskars punch. And for a bit more of a manly touch, I stapled the ribbon to the card. Inside it says, "have a HAPPY FATHER"S DAY".
